Various Artists — The Expansion EP (ICNR-003)
2026

IR Records returns with its third release and first Various Artists project — The Expansion EP — marking a new chapter for the label.
Originally launched as a home for Icon Roller's own productions, IR Records now opens its doors to new producers after a handful of standout tracks landed that were simply too strong to ignore. The result is a release that stays true to the label's raw, rolling Jungle foundation while expanding its reach across borders.
With contributions from Leeds and Paris, The Expansion EP introduces Duburban & Peeb and Jules Elipse & Draai to the IR catalogue alongside label head Icon Roller.
A) Icon Roller — Afterlife: A deep, cinematic descent into shadowy atmospheres. Razor-sharp amen breaks drive the first half before mutating into a shifting arsenal of rhythms, keeping the tension rising from start to finish.
B1) Duburban & Peeb — Everytime: Opening with smooth pads and echoing percussion, an emotive vocal floats above intricate drumfunk movement before evolving into tearing amens and an octave-hopping 808 bassline built for the dancefloor.
B2) Jules Elipse & Draai — Who's That Bear: A characterful Jungle cut that blends atmosphere with dancefloor drive. Atmospheric humming vocals open into crisp rolling breaks drifting through warm strings and airy flute phrases, closing with a hypnotic percussive melody and reggae vocal snippets.
